Karin’s New Clothes

It’s a rainy and muddy day here at Överjärva, so I thought it appropriate to dress up and fight the moody feeling that came creeping up on me. The whole outfit makes me feel like Mary Poppins, my childhood heroine. Note that I have tried to improve my choice in shoes since my last show off ![]()

The coat is “reclaimed-to-wear” by UK-based company From Somewhere. Just look at the lining! Unfortunately, their website is not as it should be, but here’s their email should you wish to contact them!
I bought my coat at fair trade and organic boutique Equa in Camden Passage. Another angle on flickr.
While searching for traces of From Somewhere I found the eco design fair, taking place in London’s Camden Saturday 2nd December.

designagent blog is full of treasures, I especially like the uncool brooch from bless.

Hey Karin,
Way to go on the eco style!! From Somewhere’s website
(http://www.fromsomewhere.co.uk/) was active last month, but it was a flash site I believe. I emailed them over a month ago requesting info and images to do a proper post on them, but have not received a response.
I know they just helped organize ESTHETICA, so let’s just hope they are busy reorganizing. Thanks for sharing your cool coat. Glad you bought it at Equa. I wrote about the shop some time ago, so it’s nice to see our virtual worlds collide.

I just adore your blogs and I can’t wait to see some more of your eco styled clothes. That jacket and pretty much the whole outfit is just beautiful. Here in the USA we see a lot of eco safe bags for grocery shopping but I have yet to see a rise in popularity for the eco friendly clothing. I can’t wait til it gets here, it should be here soon!
