One hour gift

On Sunday we moved to winter time and got an extra hour. What a lovely gift, I wish I could get more of those…
Last week I went for a meeting at lovely teahouse Chaikhana in the old town of Stockholm. Wonderfully calm and warm atmosphere, perfect for looking ahead and planning.

Nice things

I love this necklace by La Fille du Consul and this illustration by Raquel Marín, both via les zigouis.

Last year Marie sent me some images from an inspiring exhibition she organized, however I never managed to tell you all about it. Now I got another chance… A leaf dress from the exhibition Inspiration Linné - on the importance of multitude at Stadsträdgården in Örebro.

On the Linné theme - another nice stamp from the Swedish post office!

On the logistics of moving workshops

Last week was autumnal - rainy days mixing with beautifully sunny and crispy cold days. Here’s a view of my future workshop, the tree in front is just starting to change colour.

I’m standing with one foot in my old workshop and the other in my new one. The electricity needs to be properly installed before I can start working in my new space. It’s a wee bit frustrating as it’s been delayed and delayed again… I think it’s getting nearer though :) and in the meantime I can’t believe the amount of things needing to be taken care of in order to get my little business moved!

Daily commuters necklace from Supermandolini. On my daily train journey to work I’m right now reading The Historian and it’s almost transporting me back to Istanbul!

I’m in grace’s kitchen this week! Above are the ingredients I used. Thank you Kristina for helping me converting the recipes into understandable measurements!

Energy boost

Several baklavas later, and I’m back in Stockholm again. We had the best time and I so enjoyed traveling with a group of people. I tried not to see the city only through the camera lense, here’s the result ;)

Light autumn

Stina Wirséns illustrations on stamps - these make me want to send letters to everyone. Buy them online from the swedish post office. See the cover and more here.

I’ve taken down the ceramics sign outside my workshop and put a vase of autumn flowers in my new space. Am moving my kiln, the big working table and sink when I get back from Istanbul (where I’m going with Camilla and friends on Monday!). The light is flooding into my new workshop, it’s already influencing me and I’m so looking forward to start working there, what a treat!

And here are some more exclamations…

Poppytalk’s virtual streetmarket - wonderful!

I love all the new layouts - design*sponge and whip up!

It was mav who pointed me in Proefs direction and it’s so inspiring there!

Industrial chic jewellery from Ligia Dias via Refinery29 (thanks Philippe!).

Edizione has got a new b e a u t i f u l limited edition book out!

My new work has arrived at Landscape Products (well spotted Camilla!).

Finally, sometimes it’d be lovely to be able to be in two places in one time - Istanbul and Origin ;)

Home

HOME 2007 starts today at Stockholmsmässan. Cosa’s stand looks lovely and the “filurer” dolls are sweet. Liebling was also there, but my pictures of her stand did not come out very well, probably better to check her blog out instead. Here are some more glimpses of what’s to see.

An oven shelf of porcelain stones, tealight holders and Liisa’s heads are cooling down on the floor of my workshop.
